Does Collaborative writing count as "old stuff in a new way"?
"I'd like to argue that to get to that point, the key is the student-centered classroom. That starts with the students themselves, and empowering them to own their learning. Utilizing digital means to get there is the key in my book, but that really can't happen until technology is ubiquitous throughout their educational journey."
I enjoyed this short article. I think it reinforces the direction we are going, and gives us some personal goals for creating the right environment.

an interesting interview on chromebooks
what I liked was "We're heavily investing in our teachers by providing significant development." and "Prior to the implementation what we have done is we've extensively trained a cadre of 50 teachers between our middle school and high school on the Chromebooks."
some great discussion~ AHA moment....a majority of the students were using their devices responsibly!! Change from fear of kids using devices wrong to creating responsible use guidelines = TRUST. I like their poster....your thoughts?
