"Thank you for taking the time to view my electronic portfolio. This portfolio is based on the Educational Computing and Technology Facilitation (TF) standards from the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). Under each of the TF Standard pages, you will be able to view my reflections of each standard. To demonstrate my technological proficiency, I will link each of the eight TF standards to a sample of my work.

Although this electronic portfolio is based on the TF standards, many of these artifacts demonstrate my ability as a media specialist. I am prepared to integrate cutting-edge technology into the school library to provide high-quality instruction and services to the school’s community. I will note the ALA standards that I have fulfilled with each artifact when appropriate.

Please contact me through this website or e-mail me at JAntokal@yahoo.com."

" I believe that technology and electronic learning should play a major role in developing today’s children to become life-long learners. Today’s children are bombarded with information from many different sources in a very fast-paced manner. Recent studies have shown that the content presented through electronic media has more impact on learning than the media itself. Studies also suggest that young people are able to transfer what they learn from electronic media and use it in other applications. My desire as an educator is to investigate these possibilities for learning and use them to influence cognitive skills in students and their pursuit of life-longing. "
