I've found myself spening so much time trying to search the App Store for good eductional apps that can be used for instruction. What I have found is that it is very difficult to find quality apps through the App Store. The best way that I have found is through visiting with teachers, collaborating with other educational professionals, reading blogs, websites and spending time browsing through those apps.
To save you some time, I wanted to provide a source to recommend different types of apps for the classroom and for teacher tools. Here are some apps tht I have found so far and I will continue to update as I come across more. Please feel free to add a comment on any that you find or are using in your classrooms.
- Use Windows 8 gestures when connected to a Windows 8 PC!
- Use on-screen shortcuts to more easily control media players, browsers, Office apps, and even games (optional in-app purchase)
- Run Splashtop 2 as a background app (switch to another app without losing connection)
- Copy-and-paste between your computer and iPad
- Easier access to control bar and other usability improvements
- Bug fixes
Please install the latest Streamer from www.splashtop.com/streamer to enable Windows 8 gestures.
