At the center of the screen, you see a word that you've typed in. Like spokes from the hub of a wheel, the word's synonyms and antonyms stretch outward. You can click each one to further explore the word's meaning. Much simpler to look at than a dictionary, this site is in some ways more effective for its simplicity.
Pike has a school-wide subscription to this wonderful site where students create comics. Teachers guide the work by setting the theme and expectations for the lesson and by giving feedback directly to students. Teachers also decide when comics are ready to be shared in the class workspace. Kids love it!
