The group No Games Chicago, which is opposed to spending on the Olympics rather than on housing, transit and education, drew about 200 protesters Thursday afternoon to a Federal Plaza rally and march to
Aon Center, headquarters for the Chicago 2016 bid team as well as Aon Corp., founded by 2016 bid leader Patrick Ryan.
On Sunday, protesters plan to pitch tents in Washington Park, proposed site of the Olympic Stadium and aquatics center, said Willie J.R. Fleming, a No Games activist. "We feel the resources being used for the Olympic bid should be used to house the homeless."
