    Grandparent Raising Grandchildren Support Circles are weekly to monthly support and information meetings for grandparents and other relatives who are the primary caregivers of grandchildren /nieces and nephews.

    The group is for any economicc status
    Free of cost
    Parent Support Services is able to provide a small subsidy to pay for child care and transportation, if needed. Our objective is to remove the financial obstacles that might prevent a parent from attending a Support Circle.

    Each self-help parent-support Circle is led by two trained facilitators

    This is a course designed to help parents to connect with their babies. "A healthy parent-child relationship promotes infant attachment security, mental development and well-being. Right From The Start is an 8-session course that uses video clips, problem solving discussions and skill-building exercises"

    The program is for parents of children under the age of 2.

    monthly meetings where Leaders facilitate informal, guided discussions. During these discussions mothers have access to accurate, up-to-date and personalized breastfeeding information and support for their role as a breastfeeding parent. In addition, mothers are able to draw on the experience of other mothers who attend.

    Meeting 1: The Advantages of Breastfeeding to Mother and Baby
    Meeting 2: Baby Arrives: The Family and the Breastfed Baby
    Meeting 3: The Art of Breastfeeding and Avoiding Difficulties
    Meeting 4: Nutrition and Weaning
    While a series of four meetings with the following topics is rotated throughout the year, the specific content varies significantly depending on the current focus and the needs of those present.
