"Imaginations is an international journal hosted at the University of Alberta in Canada that publishes peer-reviewed articles in original languages as well as translations and commissioned artwork. Imaginations acts as a nexus, or aggregation point, where excellent scholarship informed by different cultures, national histories and linguistic traditions can create a new vocabulary for addressing the notion of the image along with its many avatars, and where academic researchers can also come in contact with visual artists and practitioners reflecting on their approaches. The disciplinary and cultural contacts inspire new dialogues and parallelisms, or even differences and potential frictions, out of which shall necessarily emerge unforeseen insights into the role of the image and visual culture."
The Cybertext Yearbook Series, started in 2000, quickly earned its reputation as one of "the best cutting-edge reads for the literary digerati" (American Book Review). In 2007 it will finally make the obvious non-trivial move and transform itself into the Cybertext Database, a FREE online publication. As uncompromising and unpredictable as ever, it will continue to be organized as separate issues.
This database contains total of 73 articles. You can browse articles by yearbook or topic.
"meta-carto-semiotics is interested in theoretical studies on questions related to cartography in its broadest sense. What such "cartography in its broadest sense" shall comprise, is already a worthwhile topic within the scope of meta-carto-semiotics. However, we will try to introduce the future discussions in this e-journal more precisely, proposing the following preliminary and rough definition of cartography and cartographic theory. Cartography is about representation of spatial reality to humans. Consequently, cartographic theory focuses on the numerous relations between representation (e.g. map), user and reality. As semiotic theories offer, of course, different ways to structure the aforementioned relationship, semiotics forms part of the journal's name. Moreover, semiotics provides, on the one hand, a solid framework for other theories, which have been already applied on cartographic questions, like communication theories or information theories for example. On the other hand, both current carto-theoretic approaches can be structured on semiotic fundaments and future developments may be prepared."
This double issue looks at archives as calls to action. Rather than stable repositories, archives are examined as acts and practices in transit that mobilize different media and are mobilized by them.

"[A] new, open-access and peer-reviewed journal, published by MPublishing, a division of the University of Michigan Library. The journal's first articles were published in July 2011.
Fragments provides a forum for dialogue and exchange between scholars in all fields of the humanities and social sciences who study the premodern world. The journal encourages scholars to pursue subjects of broad interest to colleagues working in other places and times, and to pursue comparative and connective approaches in investigating the past. The editors also invite scholars to explore interdisciplinary approaches, such as those that synthesize the insights of textual scholarship and archaeology, or history and sociology. We also welcome articles that introduce methodologically innovative approaches to the shared challenges of interpreting and understanding bodies of premodern evidence that are distinct in kind and quantity from the evidence of the more recent past. The broadest aim of Fragments is to transcend fragmentation: to foster research that overflows the boundaries of various well-established and vital traditions in order to generate new, integrated ways of thinking about the premodern past."

This diverse editorial pool reflects the Journal's mission of fostering an interdisciplinary conversation, bringing literary scholars together with the archivists whose work assembles, curates, and makes meaning within archives. Putting these disciplinary voices into discussion within the pages of the journal fosters innovative research and incisive scholarship in the field of SF studies."
