Designing Devices is a series of articles on how and why to create devices, written by me, Dan Saffer, principal designer at Kicker Studio. This is a place for essays that I hope to eventually collect into a book in 2011. Like drafts, the articles will be constantly evolving, hopefully with your feedback.
These articles won’t necessarily be how-to articles, however. For that, I recommend you read my book Designing for Interaction: Creating Innovative Applications and Devices, in which I go through the details of the design process. These articles are more general in nature, discussing the “whys” more than the “how.”
