In the “Wild Horses at Return to Freedom” series Bev uses excellent panning technique to capture the wild horses running wild while the landscape remains blurred. She is no slouch in the post processing department either. While remaining in color the wild horse images have been processed with an overall warm tone that enhances the relationship of horse to landscape. The final result is dynamic, powerful, and cinematic.

While it may be cowboys and cowgirls that you associate most with rodeo, there is a quiet unsung hero behind the scenes keeping all of the animals healthy: the veterinarian. During the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, two vets were responsible for almost 27,000 animals that were there to compete during the three week event.

It’s hard to sum up just how amazing The All American Cowgirl Chicks are. These women not only exhibit excellence, they live and breath it. The Cowgirl Chicks entertain and inspire while being unabashedly patriotic and American. You can’t say that about most folks these days. They seem both Super-Human and Super-American.

For many college students and people in their 20s, vintage and thrift store shopping has been their primary clothing source. Along with that love of vintage clothing has come a resurgence of western wear, and as many “kids” find western shirts from decades gone by, they have made the look very fashionable once again.

It’s never too early to teach children about cowboy culture, and the kindergarten students at Lydia Rippey Elementary school in Farmington, New Mexico just got a week long lesson in all things cowboy.
