Easy triggers like this could be what pushes folks into wider adoption around shortcuts and how to use them.
Right now, the way many shortcuts get used and shared make them appear as though they are uber geek tricks and parlor games. Pointing out and defining multiple functional and super easy applications around the use of shortcuts makes me think 2013 may be a big shortcut party for teachers and students.

However, the elephant in the room is when you are watching folks waste so much time fumbling with their phones and wasting time trying to find their QR Code scanner, only to have it struggle to read the blurred image in fron of them. #justsaying
Shortcuts like this go a long way to bringing more easy to use keyboard or app (tweetbots are sick) shortcuts to the masses.
