They would then be required to synthesise the three seperate explanations they had given about the poems into a conclusion on the overall message contained in Auden’s poetry, which they would post on the forum on our diigo group’s homepage.

I remain most impressed by how much diigo enabled students to vocalise their thoughts about poetry in a way that gave them more security and space to do it, without feeling pressured to call out the ‘right’ answer in class.
