WiserEarth is protected by the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial 3.0 License. I may be able to use this in my own classroom later in the school year, when I plan to have students create a model of a "green city."
ManyBooks.net has what the title says: many books! They are ad-free e-books that are protected under Creative Commons licensing but are free to download.
This website has free e-books (PDF format), which are public domain and therefore copyright-free. It would be great for English teachers teaching "the classics."
I found this on the Creative Commons wiki. This website contains only public domain photos, which are copyright-free. This would be great for use on school projects.
