Intel shared their social media guidelines online here. While smaller companies can be more aggressive on some fronts, this is a good working document for individuals new to social media and larger companies. Nobody wants to be the next Belkin, getting caught buying fake reviews.
Blog Comments

I recommend viewing the web as a social medium. Find blogs with posts about topics you are interested in and participate in the community. The whole point of weblogs is community discussion, so it is not spam to add something useful to the conversation.
If you get a signature link with your post don’t expect the link to help you rank better in the search engines, because most blogs use nofollow on links. If you participate in your community and leave valuable comments, it will make some people more likely to pay attention to you or link to your site.
I have seen mainstream media outlets quote blogs or contact people who left comments on blogs. If you are actively engaged in the conversation, you will gain authority much quicker than if you are not.
An even better way to get noticed with blogs is to comment about what other blogs say on your own blog, and make sure you link to them.
If people leave good comments on your blog make sure you respond to them. That helps build community and brand loyalty.
Chat, Google Groups & Forums

In forums, people asking and answering questions creates free content for the person who owns the site. This virtually automated content creation allows the forum owner to sell advertising space against the work of others.
In exchange for the posts, many forums allow signature links that point to your website. Since forums change rapidly, they often get indexed frequently. Your site will get indexed quickly if you ask a few questions at a few of the various public forums.
Of course, the goal of forums is to have meaningful conversations, so many forums aim to curb noise and ban people who look like they are only commenting for links or to push their business interests.
Forum links are easy to get and forums have many links on the pages though, so the links probably do not have a large effect on SEO. Forum sig links from relevant useful posts have far more direct value in driving sales and building friendships than in effecting search results directly.
Participation is Key

By helping others by participating in web communities, you become more linkworthy and work your name and your brand into the language representative of your topic. Plus, if you know what people in your community are talking about, it is much easier to create things they would be interested in and market them to their needs and wants.

Postloop is one platform that I have been using since months to generate some sort of income to me. Even though I shared about the platform and many people have signed up I have seen that not many are doing anything about it.

The potential with Postloop is that you can earn $5 to $6 every single hour by posting on forums, they need posts and you need money.

I have therefore made a short video to make you understand how it works since the interface is a bit tricky.

You need to sign up to postloop and get to your dashboard.

Below that page you will find the faq section. Click on that and and you will get a series of questions.

Click on How do I get started and you will get an option for the answers to be on the top of the page.

You will be now on a page with a link to the post loop portal. The portal is a different place and you need to sign up once more. You can use the same credentials that you used for the main account. After that come to the page where you started, the one with the link to the postloop portal and click on the subscribe button.

You will be given an option to enter the information username and password to the portal and do that.

Once done start posting 10 post on the portal. Make it high quality for if they do not meet the minimum criteria of good grammar, you will not be accepted.

If earlier it was commenting on do follow blogs and forums, today guest posting has become the buzz word. Even if a blog has taken off a week ago you can find a guest post submission link and everybody is onto it. Guest post gives backlinks and a precious little do follow link which is a must for gaining traction with Google. Guest posting on blogs with high PR value is a must if you want to get a high PR yourself and only 10 guest posts on such blogs can give you a PR of 3 or more easily. I wanted to see which blogs have high Page rank and accept guest posts so that I could submit my blog links

to them and today finally I am sharing what I learnt in the process.

All the blogs that I have discovered in the process are shared here and not only that I have given their latest Page Rank according to Google and their alexa ranks. The information is obtained from Google, bloggerbuzz.com and bloggerspassion.com. If you also want to create such a list then search for “write for us “ on google with the quotes. Even if

 

you don;t guest post on all these blogs you can very well use them for commenting and spreading your links. I have included some upcoming blogs with zero page rank also because they have good alexa rank and the way they are going by next PR update they will have a PR between 3 and 5.

Some interesting things that I have discovered are that most of the sites under shoutdreams banner are here and all have good pageranks. Zlobber, shoutmeloud etc provide adsense revenue sharing when you post on them. Most bloggers give two do follow backlinks and your posts should be atleast 500 words in length. The two sites below are a free guest post sharing community which have a mammoth list of high PR value sites ready to accept your posts and bloggers ready to share posts. In addition you get a backlink when you register on them.
