    • Maine Elks Crown State Ritual Champions By IPR Feb 22, 2005, 12:40   HOULTON -- On February 20, 2005, the Maine Elks Association held its annual State Ritual Competition at the Houlton Elks Lodge #934. Competing were four teams from Lodges across the State of Maine, including; Augusta, Sanford, Houlton, and Bath. The winner of the contest will represent the State of Maine at the upcoming national ritual championships in July.
    • Maine Elks Win Area 1 Ritual Championship for 3rd Straight Year By IPR Apr 26, 2005, 12:14  Email this article  Printer friendly page  HARTFORD, VT -- For the third year in a row, the Maine Elks Association Past Exalted Ruler's (Lodge Past President's) Ritual Team, led by Coach Phil O'Brion of Farmington, won the Area I Interstate Relations Past Exalted Ruler's Ritual Contest. This year, the Maine team edged out second place New Hampshire in the competition with a score of 96.6697 out of 100.  The Area I contest was held on April 24, 2004, at the Hartford Elks Lodge in Hartford, Vermont. Six teams competed, representing states from across New England and New York. The purpose of this contest is to promote excellence in the performance of the initiatory ritual of the Elks, and to foster better relations between State Elks Associations.
    • Willcox Elks Lodge sweeps State Ritual Competition  By Becky Fortenberry/For the Range News   During the finals of Ritual Competition held in Phoenix during the State Elks Convention on May 12,, Willcox Elks Lodge #2131 took home 10 of the possible 13 awards, including State Champions of Ritual.  The Willcox Team will now compete against 51 other teams in Orlando, Fla., to be the national winner.  In the 47-year history of the Willcox Lodge, it is the first time our team will be going to National Competition to represent the state of Arizona. Ritual is the means by which Elks officers initiate new members into the order of Elks. Ritual Competition consists of officers performing this ritual and being graded on their performance. In Arizona there are 42 lodges that compete in Ritual Competition.
    • The Show Low Elks Lodge No. 2090 Team of Officers, who on May 9 won first place in the Ritual Contest at the Arizona Elks Association state convention, will represent Arizona at the Elks Grand Lodge National Convention in Anaheim in July.
    • SANFORD -- The Maine Elks Association Ritual Team continued their domination of the Area I Interstate-Relations Ritual Roulette Championships by winning for the ninth straight year, and retiring their third regional trophy. The event was held at the Sanford Elks Lodge on October 5, 2008. The purpose of the contest was to promote excellence in the performance of the Elks initiation ritual, and to foster better relations among the State Elks Associations.  In the event, Maine narrowly defeated Connecticut by only 0.518 points, as both

    The Arizona Elks Association state convention was held May 7-9 in Tempe. Of the 49 Elks lodges throughout the state, the top two from each of the four districts were on hand to compete for the final prize: the privilege of representing the state at the National Elks Convention scheduled July 5-9 in Portland, Ore.
