    • Hamilton Elks Golf Club - A Donald Ross Original By Bend_of_the_River I was afforded an opportunity to play the Hamilton Elks Golf Club this afternoon. The Hamilton Elks Golf Club was designed by famed golf course designer Donald Ross in 1925. Mr. Ross is one of my all time favorite golf architects and his golf courses, although not long by today’s standards offer a lot more character and still demand good, well placed golf shots throughout your round.
    • Elks revive youth camp By Shawn Yonker  Sports Editor   SALISBURY -- As Elks golf pro Russ Hagerman headed down a fairway at the club's nine-hole course on the opening day of the youth golf camp Monday, an 88-year-old Elks member named Donald Banks was teaching an eight year-old how to blast his way out of a sand trap. Hagerman stopped for a moment to think about the 80 years that separated the two individuals and the game and camp that had brought them together.
    • Elks Club hidden with big surprises  For the first few months I lived here, as I would head out to Parkside High School, I noticed the little golf course in the middle of town. I figured it had to be an executive course of some type, if not a par-3. I didn't think there was any way to fit a full course into the small area I could see. Eventually I asked about it, and indeed the Elks Club was a full, nine-hole course. But I heard "Elks Club" and assumed they didn't want anyone else there. Much to my surprise, the semi-private club is open to the public, and very friendly to the public as well.

They don't seem to be too worried about the private vs public tax issue some GL leaders have raisd. Wonder how they do it?

    • The Port Huron Elks Golf Club in Port Huron Township will be busy the next two weeks with its annual Men's Invitational and a round of the Inter-Club Tournament. The popular, four-day invitational begins next Wednesday with a practice round followed by 54 holes of competition. ADVERTISEMENT    As always the championship flight is loaded with quality golfers.
