Blog with links to interesting videos. It looks like it is updated once or more a day. Talk about an easy way to provide background knowledge and a way to talk about a new vocabulary word each day! Though the videos are random, just the exposure to these things gives background knowledge that will come in handy someday.

Several awesome simulations of the solar system, including Copernicus, Ptolemy, and Kepler's models.

Insert a diameter for the sun in cm or inches and the distances and sizes of the other planets are calculated. Great for exploring the scale of the solar system. Also great to figure out the math involved and build a spreadsheet to do the same thing. Check your spread sheet accuracy with the site.
