  Golden earrings? Wait a minute. Isn’t that what the children of Israel used to make a molten gold calf? (Exodus 32)

• Bentley "continues to draw his standard salary, set by his board, from his office in Canada. It is a modest salary and is in the five-figure range."

• This apostle of Global Harvest preaches many strange teachings, such as astral travelling (for those not familiar with the occult this is the practice of leaving your body and travelling about disembodied). Todd refers to these travels as third Heaven experiences, he recommends setting up booths at farmers markets or the like to give free "spiritual readings" to people, and "dream interpretation" booths, as new forms of evangelism. Check out his pages see if I am exagerating or taking him out of context.

• Now, I put the word preach in quotes because what I observed of Todd's messages could not be characterized as preaching by even the loosest definition of the term.
• Well, this man got to the edge of his seat, slid off, and crumpled to the floor like a rag doll. 
• He said, "Now, when I come up to you to give you the anointing, I want you to stop praying. If you continue to pray while I lay my hands on you, it will hinder the passing of the anointing from me to you.  You are not to pray while I'm laying my hands on you and giving you this anointing."
• the Scripture that immediately popped into my head was 1 Thess. 5:17, "Pray without ceasing."
• Why was the pastor of the church telling me to do something clearly against Scripture??
• Let's also look at this logically. When a person prays, he is communicating with the Triune Godhead. This anointing that is about to be given to me is also, supposedly, from the Tiune Godhead. How could these two acts possibly be in contradiction? How could me praying to God hinder me from receiving something from God? Unless, of course, this anointing was not really from God. Needless to say, huge red flags immediately went up with me.

• The disease is contagious. Die Krankheit ist ansteckend.

• Over a relatively short period there has been a dramatic increase in premature deaths, cancers, marriage break-ups, sickness and disease amongst the congregation where the leadership have allowed this type of ministry into their church. Many people left the church in fear. These are the consequences of following this type of ministry which no one is aware of or wants to address. I know. I have visited the people in hospital and attended one of the funerals.
• People like me who criticise this movement are often compared to the Pharisees in the New Testament. On the contrary if I really saw genuine lasting, medically verified miracles happening on the scale that is claimed I would join in praising God. But I see many disappointed people who have been prayed for over and over again and who remain just as sick as they were before and then have the added burden of being told it is because of their lack of faith that they are not healed. And that makes me wonder who are the real Pharisees.
• In fact the ‘anointing’ which most of these preachers talk about has no basis in biblical teaching. In the Old Testament the word ‘mashach’ (verb) and mashiach (noun) is used exclusively of anointing priests and kings and prophetically of the Messiah which is the English form of the Hebrew mashiach. Jesus the Messiah is both priest and king so the Old Testament anointing points to the anointed one – the Messiah. In the New Testament the word anoint in Greek is chrio (verb) and chrisma (noun) from which we have Christos (the anointed one or Messiah). Chrio is used 5 times in the New Testament (Luke 4.18, Acts 4.27, 10.38, 2 Corinthians 1.21, Hebrews 1.9). Apart from the Corinthians reference all these verses apply to Jesus Christ as the anointed one.
• Your money perish with you because you thought the gift of God could be purchased with money. … Repent therefore of this your wickedness and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you. For I see that you are poisoned with bitterness and bound by iniquity.’ Acts 8.22-23.
