• En effet, nous laissons non seulement de plus en plus de traces indélébiles au travers de ces fonctions sociales omniprésentes mais un nouveau pas est maintenant franchi : d’autres personnes fournissent des informations sur nous sans qu’il soit possible pour un tiers d’authentifier la source de l’information. Ainsi, n’importe lequel de vos « amis » peut vous désigner sur une photo, indiquer à quel endroit vous vous trouvez. Il peut ainsi influencer votre image qui se construit sur internet, sans qu’un tiers ne puisse savoir si l’information est authentique ou pas.

• Pour maitriser son "écho numérique", il n’y a donc pas d’autre solution que d’être son propre producteur de contenu et le rendre plus visible que l’information spontanément générée sur vous. Il est nécessaire de rassembler les informations autour de soi, les mettre en avant et les diffuser soi-même à ses contacts.
