Although Ron Paul would never correct anyone, it is Dr. Paul not "Mr".
Say what you will about Dr. Paul but he is utterly consistent and a man of integrity.
I challenge anyone to research the positions he supports and not come away with a new outlook on the excesses of the federal government in the United States today.
I was an honor student and particularly enjoyed the study of American history. In the early 80's I first read - with great skepticism - information regarding the Federal Reserve, the current tax system operated by the IRS, and the failure of politicians to honor their oath to the Constitution.
I knew I could prove what I read to be incorrect so I did some of my own research. At every turn I only found evidence to support the positions taken by Americans seeking limited, constitutional government.
Still unconvinced, I went to local politicians and attorneys asking for guidance in proving these "truths" to indeed be false. I was met with indifference, ignorance, and silence instead of serious answers.
I wrote the IRS respectfully and sincerely requesting assistance to file my federal tax returns without waiving the restriction imposed upon the federal government by the 5th amendment preventing forced testimony against myself.
Over twenty years later I have yet to receive a response but I am considered a "tax protestor" by the federal government. I wasn't protesting, I was asking my government a question for which I should receive an answer.
The point is, everything you hear from Dr. Paul is based on the Constitution and adherence to the law under which our government was founded. Before anyone writes off someone like Dr. Paul, they owe it to themselves to do some research.
