Max Gromann's List: Trent Reznor Video Games

    • Sounds Dangerous replaces the old sound effects show Monster Sound Show, starring Chevy Chase. Sounds Dangerous, features Drew Carey, and pits him as the star of a new television show that the studio is piloting (showing to see if it works) which to us, the guest, is a quick demo of how sound effects make movies and TV that much better. It's quite funny, and great for those with a well developed sense of humor.
    • Much of the attraction is spent in complete darkness with the special audio effects being your guide to what is going on during the show.
    • ince its launch guests have discovered that the ride has a hidden layer of interactivity, allowing them to deviate from the preset set list of songs they can ride with and rock to. Hidden songs activated by a unique but simple set of actions on the in-built touch screen in each rider’s seat restraint unlock a huge list of choices to further personalize the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit experience to the guest’s musical tastes.
    • Guests start by holding down the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit logo for roughly ten seconds (I recommend holding it for a few more to be safe), after which a number keypad will appear onscreen. Riders must know the hidden song code they wish to activate before riding, as the window for the code entry begins as soon as they are seated and ends as soon as the ride vehicle departs the station. It should also be noted that by activating the hidden songs, riders will not able to watch or purchase the on-ride video recorded throughout their experience.
    • you'll rock out to the song YOU pick before strapping in. And, it's all recorded on video.
    • Edit your adventure into a music video, and buy a copy to take home or send to your friends.

    • Alternate Track Titles

There are in fact no official names for these tracks, as they remain untitled in the accompanying game literature.[1] They can be referred to by their track number; however, because the first audio track is the CD's second track (the first being reserved for the actual game data), this usually leads to confusion. As such, they can also be referred to in the format of Ghosts I-IV track titles (e.g. "02 Quake I"), numbers (e.g. "Quake 1"), sequenced untitled tracks, and so on.

Alternatively, fan-made titles and game level names are often brought up when CD ripping/playing software looks up the information on the CDDB:

      • game data
      • "Persia Inversion", "Quake Theme" or "Main Theme"
      • "Aftermath", "The Life Beneath It All" or "Intermission"
      • "The Hall of Souls", "Conscience" or "Start/Whispers"
      • "It is Raped", "Freezing Vertigo" or "Grisly Grotto"
      • "Parallel Dimensions", "The Journey" or "Slipgate Complex"
      • "Life", "The Hammer" or "Underearth"
      • "Damnation", "Ice" or "Castle of the Damned"
      • "Focus", "Peace?" or "Necropolis"
      • "Falling", "Violence Inside" or "Ziggurat Vertigo"
      • "The Reaction", "Death" or "Gloom Keep"
    • 2012           Won            ASCAP Award      Top Video Game
    • Trent Reznor is a big fan of the Doom series and ID software games in general. He enjoyed the original Doom so much that he volunteered to compose the soundtrack for another ID game, Quake. He also voiced the player character in that game.
    • Trent was also working on sounds and music for Doom III but due to "time, money and bad management" none of his efforts made into the final game. However and all of his sounds and effects have since been released in a pack that can be found with a little searching on the internet, it simply replaces all of the vanilla game sounds with those composed by Trent.
