One of many website that define the concept of Digital Citizenship. Although we are many, we are one.

    • Welcome to the Digital Citizenship Website

Digital Citizenship is a concept which helps teachers, technology leaders and parents to understand what students/children/technology users should know to use technology appropriately. Digital Citizenship is more than just a teaching tool; it is a way to prepare students/technology users for a society full of technology. Digital citizenship is the norms of appropriate, responsible technology use.  Too often we are seeing students as well as adults misusing and abusing technology but not sure what to do. The issue is more than what the users do not know but what is considered appropriate technology usage.
      • This is just one of many website that defined what digital citizenship means and how using technology can enhance our way of living and connecting with others across the globe

Plagiarism, lying, fraud, deceit, there's never a time when it should be accepted.

      • According to the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary, to "plagiarize" means

        • to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one's own
        • to use (another's production) without crediting the source
        • to commit literary theft
        • to present as new and original an idea or product derived from an existing source
      • Many offense is this. If you would just give the credit where it is due, there would be no such word.

It does not matter how much freedom we have to speak, connect, share and the like, we should remain responsible for the information we submit and should respect with others responsibly share.

    •  The reason I chose the topic of digital rights and responsibilities is because although we have the right to privacy and freedom in the digital world, we do have a responsibility to use it wisely and respect the works of others. With everything there are rules; so as educators we need to instill the values of responsibility, respect, and integrity, in our students when acquiring material or communicating in the digital sense. Students should be required to follow the Acceptable Use Policy in their school district that details how to be digitally respectful in and out of the classroom setting.

Moral and Social Responsibility is becoming more vague as we go. It is also more difficult to define based on who is perceiving it.

    • Moral Literacy
    • Questions of ethics as complex as these have become a common undercurrent of our public discourse, from news reports to congressional debates. Crucial moral decisions are being made by policymakers as they discuss the ethics of stem-cell research. Debates about the inherent sanctity of human life versus quality-of-life issues are common topics of op-ed columns. Opponents of stem-cell research warn of entire industries of embryo manufacture whose sole purpose is dismemberment for research. Proponents cite the potential of stem-cell research to repair spinal cord injuries or cure illnesses such as Alzheimer’s or diabetes.

Networking is simply "talking to people." When people say you should network, they mean you should talk to people. People are happy to help others if they can. You need to be clear about HOW you'd like their help and clear about what you're looking for.

    • Networking
    • The ability to network is one of the most crucial skills any entrepreneur can have. How else will you meet the clients and contacts necessary to grow your business? But many people are put off by the idea of networking, thinking it requires a phony, glad-handing personality that oozes insincerity. Nothing could be farther from the truth.
