This is a search engine to find high-quality Flickr images. It searches by pixel level. It is different from searching through Flickr or Google because it doesn't only use tags and file names. This is a good resource when you are looking for high quality images. The search window also allows you to choose: free to use, modify, and or commercial use.

The Freesound Project is a collaborative database of Creative Commons licensed sounds. Freesound focusses only on sound, not songs. This is what sets freesound apart from other splendid libraries like ccMixter.  This would be a great tool for movie and podcast projects.  Also powerpoint and Keynote.
