The depth of involvement in the crimes determines the punishment of the criminals under America's laws. America has the death penalty in some states but not all states. The military laws are seperate laws enforced by the military and with a view od delivering "justice" to all concerned. I'm sorry that some people don't agree with the punishment given these soldiers but 100 or more years with loss of freedom can be more severe to bear than the death sentence. Sadam isn't suffering anymore for the crimes he committed and I wonder if he too, should have received a prison sentence of 100 or more years in jail. Sadam would still be in jail wishing he was executed , I would guess had he not been hung.
