Pa and Ma Williams visiting Hawai'i and being much less oblivious than their son. Complete with a dash of angst, a good dose of pining, and some heavy frottage!

"Oh, what fresh hell are you," Danny sighs, leaning against the doorframe. He honest-to-Jesus doesn't have energy for anything else. Nana and Gracie are in the middle of a going-on-five-hour-long game of Monopoly, and he's rapidly losing the will to live.

When an old friend tries to kill Steve using silver weapons, Danny's curiosity leads him to an unbelievable discovery with unexpected consequences.

Steve is a full-time Dad to his daughter Julie. When nanny/babysitter Lenora gets into Yale and has to leave, Steve has to make Other Arrangements. Enter daycare centre Stepping Stones, proprietor one Danny Williams.

Written for the stevedannoslash After Holidays Prompt Fest. The prompt: A/U. Steve is raising his daughter Grace alone; he left the SEALs to care for her after her mother was killed. He was never with her mother; Steve always knew he was gay, but was trying to be straight to please his father. Grace was the result of Steve's only night with a woman.




Danny transferred to the HPD after his wife/child were killed in a mob hit in NJ; he needed to get as far away from the memories as possible. He ends up working on Steve's task force, but has a hard time seeing Steve and Grace together. It doesn't take long for Steve to fall in love with Danny, but he's too scared to do anything about it. Danny doesn't want to feel anything anymore, but is still drawn to Steve. Grace decides to take matters in to her own hands, and make the family she's always wanted.

Just before Danny leaves Jersey for Hawaii, his mother tells him a secret: Frank Williams, the man who raised him, isn't his biological father. And once Danny gets to Honolulu, meeting Steve McGarrett is a shock of an even more disturbing kind.

It turns out knowing that Steve's breath catches whenever you press teeth against his throat doesn't mean he can't still make you want to murder him whenever he launches himself off a roof in pursuit of a suspect or decides there's not enough time to put on his vest before busting into a meth lab and beating people up.

British Intelligence Officer is found murdered while on holiday in Honolulu, the most recent in a string of murders of intelligence officers of different nationalities. An international crime syndicate is suspected and a joint investigation is proposed by the British government and the Governor of Hawaii, using their best people.

Navy SEAL Steve McGarrett is injured when his team's convoy is attacked while transporting a prisoner. He's currently rehabbing at Tripler, trying to regain the use of his legs after a spinal injury left him in a wheelchair for the past two months. Grace Williams' class is learning about community service and spends an hour and half a week at Tripler with the recovering soldiers. Grace is drawn to the quiet, mysterious SEAL and soon the two have formed a bond, one that begins healing Steve's scarred heart and mind. Detective Danny Williams is haunted by a cold case that should've never gone cold in the first place. With the case only a few months old, and now one afternoon free a week while his daughter is out learning community service, Danny digs into the case again under the table with the help of another disgraced cop and will stop at nothing to see justice served.

So, I wrote a Hawaii Five-0/His Dark Materials AU crossover thing. This is a good Daemon primer to read before reading this fic, though I'm mostly disregarding 5 and the sleeping part of 9 for reasons that may/will become obvious later on. Um, there's some stuff that's evolved from other fandom daemon!fic as well. Also switched how they find out about Chin and his family so it happens earlier, but that's hardly mentioned, ha.
