• today’s librarians are, or should be, on the lookout for resources tools with  which to serve the curriculum and engage learners across content areas and grade  levels.

• Over the past three years, I’ve worked with our classroom teachers to move our  literature circles into blogs and wikis and Nings.
• Librarians should be willing to fight for open access to new information and  tools with the same energy we use for books, helping our districts develop  reasonable filtering policies and demonstrating models of effective use of  online tools.
