All Diigo APIs require HTTP-Auth.
This document and the APIs herein are subject to change at any time. Sorry, the API is still under development. We will version the API, but may deprecate early versions aggressively.
REST
The Diigo API tries to conform as much as possible to the design principles of Representational State Transfer (REST).
GET/POST/PUT/DELETE http://apix.diigo.com/xxx
Diigo presently supports the following data formats: JSON.
HTTP Status Codes
The Diigo API attempts to return appropriate HTTP status codes for every request. Here's what's going on with our various status codes:
stream.publish, a method to simplify publishing into a user’s stream, and replacing the previous versions that relied on Feed templates. To publish stories using this method server-side, a user must first grant the publish_stream permission to your application to publish on the user’s behalf. You don't need any other permissions or approvals to use this method.
Now, we’ve created a JavaScript version of stream.publish (also available via FBJS as Facebook.streamPublish) which you can use at any time from your websites or applications. This method will always display a Feed form for the user to confirm publishing the story, unless the user has granted the publish_stream permission.
You can use these JavaScript methods from any website as a simple widget to prompt a user to publish a story even if they are not currently logged in to Facebook. They will be prompted to sign in to Facebook and then publish the story. This method can be used on any website with or without other Facebook Connect features, and will not prompt a user to Connect their accounts to your website.
With this tool you can play with the Data Export API by building queries to get data from your Google Analytics profiles. You can use these queries in any of the client libraries to build your own tools. If you want to learn more about the how the API works, checkout the interactive examples.
Imagin is a simple web service for processing and generating images. It understands a very basic text-based language describing transformations to apply to images.
Interface
To call Imagin, send an HTTP POST to http://imagin.notdot.net/do. The body of the post should be of mime-type multipart/form-data, and contain at least one form element, called "code", containing the Imagin script to execute. It may also contain any number of additional fields containing images for the script to use; these will be added as variables before the script begins executing.
If an error occurs, Imagin will return an HTTP 400 or 500 response, with relevant text explaining the error.
If your script contains an 'output' op, Imagin will return an HTTP 200 response, with the generated image, with the content-type set appropriately to the type of image you requested.
Otherwise, Imagin will return an HTTP 200 response indicating image processing succeeded.
For greater convenience and security, YQL allows you to set up key values for use within Open Data Tables. You can set values, such as passwords, API keys, and other required values, indepedently of YQL statements and API calls.
