    • Bochs is a highly portable open source IA-32 (x86) PC emulator written in C , that runs on most popular platforms. It includes emulation of the Intel x86 CPU, common I/O devices, and a custom BIOS. Currently, Bochs can be compiled to emulate a 386, 486, Pentium, Pentium Pro or AMD64 CPU, including optional MMX, SSE, SSE2 and 3DNow instructions. Bochs is capable of running most Operating Systems inside the emulation including Linux, Windows 95, DOS, and Windows NT 4. Bochs was written by Kevin Lawton and is currently maintained by this project.  Bochs can be compiled and used in a variety of modes, some which are still in development. The 'typical' use of bochs is to provide complete x86 PC emulation, including the x86 processor, hardware devices, and memory. This allows you to run OS's and software within the emulator on your workstation, much like you have a machine inside of a machine. For instance, let's say your workstation is a Unix/X11 workstation, but you want to run Win'95 applications. Bochs will allow you to run Win 95 and associated software on your Unix/X11 workstation, displaying a window on your workstation, simulating a monitor on a PC.

AutoIt has been in popular use since 1999 and continues to provide users and administrators with an easy way to script the Windows GUI. In February 2004 the latest version of AutoIt - known as AutoIt v3 - was released and added powerful scripting features.

AutoIt v3 was developed in a small team with the help of contributors around the world and this has led to a great set of help files, examples, support forum, mailing list, editor files, and third-party utilities. Oh, and lets not forget some nice graphics and wallpapers too!

    • UBCD4Win is a bootable CD which contains software that allows you to repair/restore/diagnostic almost any computer. All software included in UBCD4Win are freeware utilities for Windows®. UBCD4Win uses Bart's PE© which is how the CD boots into a Windows® environment with network support. Perfect for recovering deleted files on your harddrive without accidentally overwriting them or scanning a virus infected system. This project currently has 50+ utilities included in the download. Anti-Virus, CMOS password recovery, password finders, file recovery, Networking tools, CD burning software, MBR backup and recovery, etc. types of applications are all included in the download. Please visit the "List of Tools" page for a complete list of what is included in the project.  There are several requirements for building this CD which can and may make it hard for novices. Please understand that these requirements and restrictions are due to copyright laws, etc. When starting this project I wanted it to be as easy as possible. I wanted it to be a simple ISO file download just like the original Ultimate Boot CD. But to create the Windows® version of a Ultimate Boot CD requires a lot of M$ files. I had to weigh the ease of build and functionality very carefully. I prefer to think of this more in a positive way. I provide detailed instructions, email support, and the forum for help. Inexperienced users will feel a sense of accomplishment and gain knowledge when they successfully build the CD.
