    • a person with high self-esteem can fight his way through life more successfully  and with less trauma then one with low self-esteem.
    • low self-esteem is  that the person suffering from the latter feels the pain and is aware of his  need for help, whereas the person living in pride is in a far more comfortable  position. The proud assert themselves, dominate others, get what they want (at  the expense of others if necessary), and then others exalt them out of fear and  respect for their wealth and power.
