4 Benefits of Open Source Communities:
- promotes creativity in that it allows our children to build on the skills they desire to improve.
- As a result of OS codes and projects being free, families are not burdened by an additional expense in order to explore up and coming options for software uses and needs.
- Reinforces the need for those able to write code at a young age...and further down the road, having been exposed to and fluently write in code will be an important skill to have when applying for jobs/careers
- OS opportunities forces people to SHARE their knowledge without always being given complete credit; universal tool to be shared so all voices are heard within the community and that their technlogy is built on a platform of mutual understanding and SHARING!
