Kim Stuart's List: Roman Army

Use this to make a bibliography. It does most of the work for you, but make sure to check websites for authors and dates, because it can't find those automatically.

This has a very clear explanation, but you really are at this site to look at the "Related objects." Click on the photos, and read about each artifact. Each object is in the British Museum in London, and provides evidence for what we know about Roman armies.

This site might be made for a younger audience, but it is still is a great source. Do not miss the photos of real artifacts! Because this site is British (and therefore used to be part of the Ancient Roman Empire), some things are spelled differently and the videos are unavailable.

This site might be old (1999), but its information is solid, as it was written by a college professor who taught a course on this stuff. Bonus - it has the Latin terms for most things! Don't forget to look at part two.

Roman historian Titus Livius (or Livy in English) lived from 59 BC – AD 17, and in this section of The History of Rome, he writes about the Roman army. This might not be helpful for this project, but it is cool. If you have Google Earth downloaded, you can add an Ancient Rome layer to see how things looked back then!
