Below are the final project sets from ETLO Course Finding the Best Resources on the Web April 2010
Many children make some mistakes in sound production when they learn new words. If these mistakes occur past the typical age of mastery, these children are considered to have an articulation disorder and may be eligible for specially designed instruction in the area of articulation. This track provides information for parents (supported by peer-reviewed research articles), and links that might provide ideas for carryover assignments for children who are enrolled in an articulation therapy program. Practicing clinicians may also use this track for additional resources to supplement their articulation therapy program.
This track will higlight the historical significance, important regions and cities along the route, and musical traditions and instruments of the multi-national Silk Road
This track provides links to resources that will support a 4th grade unit on the continents. It includes images, quizzes, maps, landmarks, a variety of information related to population, geographical data, animal life, culture, and people. It is intended as a supplemental resource for a general unit on the continents.
Students will learn about types of bridges, strengths and weaknesses of each type, and how to build a bridge model out of toothpicks. They will also review current news on bridges and determine safety issues pertaining to specific bridges.
A resource where students could not only get some help in writing poetry, but where they could explore literary devices in regards to some published poetry. Need to do some preparation in the classroom before giving the students this track. A lot of students just hear the term "poetry" and want to run the other direction. This track is designed to show them that it is really not that bad! Standards are included with each resource.
his unit will begin with introduction to basic vocabulary in class, then intersecting lines which creates vertical angles and linear pairs. Next, we move to parallel lines cut by a transversal and all angle relationships created. Next Quadrilateral family and characteristics of each item. Which brings us back to parallel lines cut by 2 parallel transversals. We end the unit with the Triangle-Sum property, isosceles triangle property, and exterior angles of triangles.

1. demonstrate a knowledge of the popular culture and music of the 60s.

3. complete a product of their own choosing that will demonstrate an understanding of the topic they chose.

This track allows students to gain a deeper understanding of OTHELLO, its author, and its characters. Students will use the links provided to conduct research on Shakespeare, revealing key moments in the life of this somewhat mysterious man. Students will also explore the characters of the play as well as the social and political climate of the play's setting. Finally, students will begin to prepare for their own performances of a Shakespeare monologue.
You will investigate the underlying reasons for the Civil Rights Movement. Then you will research the events and impact of the Civil Right Movement in Philadelphia. Finally, you will compare and contrast the the state of civil rights in our nation today.

This project outlines the competition between the US and the Soviet Bloc during the Cold War from the end of World War II in 1945 to the fall of the Berlin Wall. Resources will encompass the development of steroids to promote Communist superiority to the building of the best nuclear powered submarines.
