Twitter has really taken off among teachers. Using a professional account, you can connect with subject-alike and/or grade-alike teachers all over the world to get ideas and share insights, resources, links, experiences.

This site allows you/students to create real or digital books using pictures and text. You have to see the student examples on the site to appreciate it!
Definately check out the sample books at the bottom of the page--they show how this tool can be used to go much deeper, to real-world applications.
This is amazing. If students create a book, you can also put a "player" of it on your class website or blog so that people can see it digitally.
I was trying to draw their attention to how little control any of us seem to have over where we let the screens on our laps and in our pockets lead our thoughts.
