"Row/Column Column/Row Scanning
Row/column scanning is an autoscanning mode. Once scanning is initiated, the scan speed setting regulates the speed at which active rows/columns are advanced.Row/column scanning can be faster than sequential scanning as you don't have to scan a row to get to the next row of buttons. Row/column scanning can also be done column-first by selecting the Column/Row scan order. The left/right and top/bottom settings also control scan order for row/column scanning.
Start scanning by actuating your switch (or tapping the iPad surface if using the iPad as a switch). When you've reached the row you want, actuate the switch to select it. Actuate the switch again to start scanning columns. Select a button by actuating the switch.
If you're using two switches, the scan switch initiates scanning and the select switch selects a row/column and a button.
