A great source of activities, video clips, and Podcasts for science. I have used this site to determine the reaction time needed to hit a baseball. It also has online exhibits that students can venture through. A great site, I highly recommend that you check it out!
A great website for teachers, it includes so many lessonplans and videos to use within your own lessons. I use it all the time! I especially like the video streaming of videos that you can take portions of and embed into your own lessons, or you van view the videos in their entirety. Some of the videos even come with fantastic packets of lesson ideas and student worksheets.
This website includes excellent science simulations developed by University of Colorado science professors. Some of the simulations have teacher created lessons and printable worksheets for student use. I have recently used the skatepark simulation when talking about the changes of energy that occur as a skater moves through a half-pipe. Definitely check this site out!
The number one resource of every physics teacher I know. A great source of Physics information, simulations, and teacher materials. The site has recently been updated and now includes printable pdf worksheets that go along with the tutorials. Love this website, I wish I created it myself!
Science website with various news articles, videos, and clips. This site is an excellent resource for both teachers and students to get updated science news, images, and video clips. There is a lot of information on the site, so it takes time to filter through and find what you are looking for, but it is worth it.
More science animations and a great source of images to use for science lessons. Not only are there virtual simulations, but videos of science professors performing actual science experiments. I have recently used this site for visuals during a projectile motion lesson.
