This site is basically a description of the different religion in Korea's past and present. This website should be included in the class list because it answers the unit question by explaining how past day and present day religion has affected today's cultures, societies, and individuals. It does this by explaining the consequences societies and individuals have had to deal with because of religion such as government related issues; along with affecting Korean culture by adding different ways of thought with and through religion (ex. with the christian belief spreading around Korea also beliefs for selfgovernment and self-support spread). This website has big information presented in a very small space, there are not a lot of breaks or change of visual appeal. I think it will be easier for those who have been growing up in Korea since a young age to understand this website, since it has a lot of Korean ideas and customs that may be hard to understand just through the description.

    • Christian-sponsored organizations such as the Urban Industrial Mission promote  labor organizations and the union movement. New religions draw on both  traditional beliefs and on Christianity, achieving a baffling variety and  diversity of views. It has been estimated that there were as many as 300 new  religions in South Korea in the late 1980s, though many were small and transient  phenomena.
    • These spirits are said to have the power to influence or to change the fortunes  of living men and women.

This website contains a lot of information about traditional customs of Korea, such as food, housing, and trade; most of it from the past. This website should be added to our class list because it has a lot of information about Korean customs especially from the past. The wording is a little high, which could be confusing, but there is a wide variety of information; so you'll have more than enough. The information in this site is organized to be very appealing to the eye, including pictures and english translations. This site is a little higher than 8th grade level, so keep that in mind!

This site is a journal article describing the advancement of South Korean communication through enhancing technology. This website should be included in the class list because it is describing the affect technology is having on today's individuals through the great use and knowledge of a wide range of technology. It shows the positive outcomes technology is providing for societies, and how it is changing past, present, and future culture. This site as a journal entry, so don't forget that there are more pages by scrolling down and clicking the 'next' button at the end of the page's information. This website is an easy read, being very precise and using a simpler range of vocabulary.
