This is a Blog that lets people talk about how guitar players have inspired their life, along with how their own learnings have made them feel better about themselves. I could use this in teaching to help inspire my students in my music class on what guitar playing has done to others. This could make them want to strive harder and practice more to be able to make their own music to enjoy.

This is a podcast of my personal favorite, Mark Knopfler. He has a very unique style of guitar strumming known as finger-picking. I would want my students to see this and spend a little time trying to imitate his style. While i would not force them to play like him, i would like them to experience the same sounds coming from their guitars as his.

This is a site that i will use to let students browse on their own free time. This site shows the students how to play every chord in guitar history. It shows in an intersting way to learn known as tab reading. Tab reading was created by Van Halen . It is a number system for people who cannot read sheet music as well. While i would like to teach students to read sheet music, reading tabs is a great tool to have.

This is a site that would let the students in my class browse around and look at various information. I would have them sign up "its free!" and let them on their own time explore the website and look at other artists and let them find their own style of playing. It also has daily blog posts that they can read that are very interesting.

This is ofcourse a wikipedia site. It has loads of information the students can look at including the history of the guitar. I woud like the students to learn the roots of where the guitar came from because i assure you that alot of things like that would be on various quizzes throughout the course. This will let them learn the different parts of the guitar, different types, etc.
