This journal article is interesting and informative piece of work as it looks at the disorganised attachments infants may have with their mothers and how the attachments become this way. The journal article explores the ways in which adolescent mothers develop a disorganised attachment with their infants from 12 to 24 months old. This journal article is useful as it provides good information regarding attachment in an easy to read manner that flows well into the other topics.
This website gives background knowledge on John Bowlby who introduced the theory and how it came to be. It also explains the sets of behaviours that are associated with the four major patterns of attachment (Secure, avoidant, ambivalent disorganised/disoriented). The website also looks at attachment across cultures and explains the concept of attachment that an infant has with their mother. The website is very simple to use and useful to search for appropriate information regarding attachment in infancy.
