This is a very helpful resource created by Mr. Wilson to help you find short stories that may be of interest to you.

TUESDAY'S task is to collect and annotate (make notes on) THREE (3) short stories using Diigo. When making your annotations, answer the following questions:

    1. Why and how might this story lend itself to an effective book trailer?
    2. What might be the challenges involved in creating a book trailer for this story?
    3. What mood does the short story evoke? How could you use this mood to create an effective trailer for this story?
    4. While reading the short story, what dominant images come to mind? How can you incorporate these images into your book trailer?

Today, I would like you to try using the HIGHLIGHT and STICKY NOTE tools from the Diigolet to pinpoint specific parts of the story that spark ideas for a potential book trailer or represent challenges in creating a potential book trailer.

    1. Sign up for Diigo to create an account
    2. Come back here to access the Diigo Tools page, or click on "Tools" on the navigation bar above.
    3. Select the appropriate tool for you. At school, you can use the Diigolet or the Simple Bookmarklet, which allows you to add a Favourite (or a bookmark) to Internet Explorer. There is a wide variety of tools you can use on your personal devices or home computer to help you add to or access the material you collect using Diigo.
    4. Explore the book trailer resources that are linked below. As you explore, use Diigo to keep a record of the book trailers you explore and your thoughts on today's learning goals using the sticky notes function on Diigo. Note: Diigo does not provide you with a space to make general notes on all of your sources. Therefore, you need to make notes on specific trailers as you view them and think about today's learning goals.
