I think digital literacy means the ability to be able to understand and use any type of online computing.

    • Despite the growing importance of the Internet in American life, nearly one-third of Americans are not online. While there is no single solution to closing the this digital divide, increasing computer and Internet skills - known as digital literacy - is key to bringing more Americans online and opening doors to opportunity

Digital identity is what you look, act and are perceived to befrom the digital world.

      • Digital identity is all the online information and data specifically about an individual.

Digital identity is made up of elements that fall into four categories (source: Lionel Maurel / Fadhila Brahimi):

        • Authentication elements: identification number, IP address, email address, user name, password, last name, first name, alias, etc.
        •
        • Data: personal, administrative, banking, occupational, social data, etc.
        •
        • Identifiers: photograph, avatar, logo, image, etc.
        •
        • Digital traces: contributions to blogs and other content management systems, links, etc.
    • Digital Identity and Reputation Management consists of the ongoing monitoring and analysis of the online reputation for a brand or individual as represented by all media types across the Social Web.

Digital security to me is the safe guarding of ones digital facts and information.

    • Digital security is the protection of your digital identity - the network or Internet equivalent of your physical identity. Digital security includes the tools you use to secure your identity, assets and technology in the online and mobile world.

These tools include anti-virus software, Web services, biometrics and secure personal devices you carry with you every day. Secure personal devices such as a smart card-based USB token, the SIM card in your cell phone, the secure chip in your contactless payment card or e-passport are digital security devices because they give you the freedom to communicate, travel, shop, bank and work using your digital identity in a way that is convenient, enjoyable and secure.

    • Welcome!

Digital security is an increasingly important issue in our society. The Digital Security group works on a broad range of topics in computer security, including applied cryptography, security protocols, smartcards and RFID, and the security and correctness of software. We are also interested in societal aspects of digital security, such as privacy and e-voting, and interaction with disciplines outside computer science such as cryptography and law. You can read this Dutch page on Computer Security to get an idea of some of the issues related to our research.

Critical thinking to me is an ability to analyze and complete a task from any resource.

"Critical thinking is the intellectually disciplined process of actively and skillfully conceptualizing, applying, analyzing, synthesizing, and/or evaluating information gathered from, or generated by, observation, experience, reflection, reasoning, or communication, as a guide to belief and action. In its exemplary form, it is based on universal intellectual values that transcend subject matter divisions: clarity, accuracy, precision, consistency, relevance, sound evidence, good reasons, depth, breadth, and fairness.

This term to me means the permission to use others information that is licensed to some else.

    • When you need permission
to reuse content, turn to the
rights licensing experts for simple, easy-to-use solutions
  • Mar 09, 13

To me this means not acquiring permission to use some ones information, idea or facts and using other wise.

      • to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one's own
      • to use (another's production) without crediting the source
      • to commit literary theft
      • to present as new and original an idea or product derived from an existing source
    • In college courses, we are continually engaged with other people’s   ideas: we read them in texts, hear them in lecture, discuss them in class,   and incorporate them into our own writing. As a result, it is very important   that we give credit where it is due. Plagiarism is using others’   ideas and words without clearly acknowledging the source of that information.
    • n the digital world, users should expect that if they post information to a site (whether it is a poem, a picture, a song, or some other form of original research or creative expression), others will enjoy it without vandalizing it, passing it off as their own, or using it as a pretext to threaten or harass.

Being a full member in a digital society means that each user is afforded certain rights, and these rights should be provided equally to all members. Digital citizens also have certain responsibilities to this society; they must agree to live according to the parameters that are mutually agreed upon by members. These boundaries may come in the form of a responsible use policy. Users need to have a clear understanding of the behavior that is required of them to be members of the digital society.

When creating or publishing anything, users should be allowed to protect those works (or not) as they see fit. Digital citizens should have the right of ownership to their work.

Rights and responsibilities are sometimes difficult to define. There can be rights in a society only if there are also responsibilities. Users need to know the difference between what is possible for the individual and what should be done for the good of the group." (D
    • As a Digital citizen you have certain rights but those rights come with responsibilities. Becoming a digital citizen is as easy as surfing the web. if your viewing this your probably a digital citizen. As a digital citizen you have the right to post/view info, but being a digital citizen also comes with responsibilities. And as an functional adult {hopefully} you are obligated to be responsible and follow the written and un-written law while on the web.

Not the truth. being led to be leave something that in not true.

    • The lies were much simpler. The control of information flow was easily directed. Rules were enforced with the threat of property confiscation and execution for anyone who strayed from the rigid socio-political structure.
