Izumi Tabata found out that 20 seconds of maximum effort followed by 10 seconds of rest repeated for 8 cycles, gives you the same benefits as 40 minutes or more of moderate, steady pace cardio. So you can spend 4 minutes of complete brutality or 40+ minutes drooling with boredom on the elliptical machine – your choice.
Each round is made up of two intervals: 10 seconds of rest and 30 seconds of maximum effort that you will repeat 6 times (6 exercises)
