the membership of an individual to an online/technological community and the quality of their actions, habits, and consumption patterns within this community. A belonging to the digital world.
Digital Identity
a human being who maintains an electronic identity within the digital world using a means of technology and communication.
Digital Law
common law transposed into a legal understanding between the digital world and the people within its community. (i.e digital copyright laws)
Digital Native
being of origin to the digital/information era. A person who has been embedded within digital technology or within the digital community from a young age.
Digital Immigrant
Someone who is foreign to the digital/information era. A person who has not been embedded within digital technology or its community.
Wikis
a website that allows people to post, edit, manipulate, or add information within the website for a continuous amount of time.
Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs)
Online courses which have start and stop dates and are open for people to gain information from a coherent body of knowledge.
Disinformation
intentional spreading of false information or media in order to obtain an unjust outcome.
Netiquette
the use of a proper manner within internet/online communications or online society.
Geo-Technology (Geo-data)
the application of engineering or engineering sciences to the exploitation of the Earth and its natural resources.
