    This site has thousands of images that have been donated by students, teachers, and amateur photographers. Permission has been granted for teachers and students to use all of the images in the Pics4Learning collection.

    This is the first site I use with elementary students when using images with a project. I don’t have to worry about where the image came from or if the site will be appropriate for young students. Many times students ask how they can share some of their own photos on the site.

    This is the one site that has it all, video, images, audio, lesson plans and much more.
    Content can be used for educational, non-commercial purposes only.
    Lesson plans, copies of images, videos and video clips may be downloaded for noncommercial instructional use.
    Users may also edit videos and video clips that are designated on the website as editable.

    This is the one stop shop for images, video and audio. Using the editable video with students puts a new twist on a project. By taking out the audio and having students record what they see

    This site is a mini-Discovery Streaming site offering more than 1,000 free media resources from the best in public television.
    Teachers’ Domain offers open educational resources that allow the user to download resources, share resources and remix resources.
    This would be a site I would use with teachers only because a log-in is required.

    World Book Online offers thousands of photographs, animal illustrations, reproductions of great works of art, audio clips of bird songs, popular and classical music, national anthems, and much more. Content can be reproduced and/or distributed for educational, noncommercial or personal uses provided that no changes or deletions are made to the content.

    The Anchorage School District has a subscription to World Book Online. Students have access to this resource throughout the building and at home. My lessons combine the hardcover encyclopedia with the on-line version for research projects. Citations are provided fore easy student use. As a librarian, this makes my job a lot easier!

    This site includes still images; audio files; and video for educator and student use.
    The NASA Image eXchange (NIX) is a web-based search engine for searching one or more of NASA's online multimedia collections. Searching is performed using keywords. NIX returns thumbnail sized images, textual descriptions, image numbers, links to higher resolution images, and links to the organization that stores each image.
    Students could use the images to do multi-media projects about the planets.
