This site provides a list of current planets as well as information about the planets, such as mass, radius, temperature, orbital period, and distance from host star.

This site allows you to select a state and then create a real-time data table for a specific monitoring station within that state. The table can include multiple parameters that you choose. Some examples are stream velocity, distance to water table, pH, water temperature, and dissolved oxygen. Data for all parameters may not be available for every site.

This site provides ocean data as well as videos and sounds from the ocean. You must register (free) to access the data.

This site contains a world map that shows the location and magnitude of recent earthquakes (today, yesterday, past 2 weeks, past 5 years). The map is a very helpful visual when explaining the link between plate tectonics and earthquakes.

This site provides up-to-date information on current gas prices around the US and Canada. Students could use this information to make graphs and identify trends. It would be a good way to get students interested in plotting since gas prices are a big issue right now.

This site provides real-time data on world population, economics, media, the environment, food, water, energy, and health. It could be used as a powerful tool to make students aware of issues we are currently facing. I highly recommend that everyone views this site.

This site provides the location (latitude and longitude), depth, time, and magnitude of all earthquakes that have occurred in the past seven days.
