The Taekwondo Federation of India has its affiliated members Association in States/Union Territories/Boards with more than 2.0 Lakh enthusiasts who practice Taekwondo regularly.

In forty five years of my experience in the Art of Taekwondo, since I started Taekwondo in 1965, and as Founder of Taekwondo in India in 1975 and after qualifying as an International Master Instructor in 1982 and International Referee in 1983, it has been my desire to produce Taekwondo players in Olympic level.

On 10th April 2009 The Executive Director and the Technical Advisors of the Taekwondo Hall of Fame, USA conferred upon me as “ Father of Taekwondo in India ” in the Grand ceremony held in Marriot Hotel, New Jersey, USA. Although I have received countless awards and honors during his lifetime, but this honor conferred by the Taekwondo Hall of Fame, USA is the most treasured reward, the ultimate acknowledgement for my lifelong dedication to the Martial Art of Taekwondo, for the last thirty-four strenuous years. I was very happy to assume new responsibilities as it would allow me an opportunity to serve the greater cause of Taekwondo and give me a World-wide recognition. This has added another feather on my cap, being the Founder of Taekwondo in India, Secretary General of Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI), and hold International Master Instructor & International Referee degree.

Soon this little known Martial Art received massive recognition amid this action amongst the enthusiastic youths. Until this year over 2.00.000 (Two Hundred thousand) enthusiasts had joined the family of Taekwondo all over India. Further, my aims is to up-gradation the Indian Taekwondo players in the World as well as Olympic.

In reaction, Grandmaster Jimmy R. Jagtiani said, he had received countless awards and honors during his lifetime, but this honor conferred by the Taekwondo Hall of Fame, USA is the most treasured reward, the ultimate acknowledgement for his lifelong dedication to the Martial Art of Taekwondo. He was very happy to assume new responsibilities as it would allow him an opportunity to serve the greater cause of Taekwondo and give him a World-wide recognition. This has added another feather in his cap being the Founder of Taekwondo in India, Secretary General of Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI), and hold International Master Instructor & International Referee degree. He added that he would aim at up-gradation of sports particularly Taekwondo in the World as well as Olympic.

TAEKWONDO FEDERATION OF INDIA SUSPENDED BY WORLD TAEKWONDO FEDERATION (WTF).
The World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) suspended the parallel Taekwondo Federation of India, headed by Harish Kumar, the so-called President of TFI without election. It may recalled in the year 1998 Harish Kumar manipulated the minutes of the General Body meeting of TFI and declared himself elected as President of TFI in collaboration with Mr. Suresh Kalmadi, the sacked President of Indian Olympic Association (IOA) to gain votes.

He snuck in, and then he punishes Senior Taekwondo Master /Students, who are not obeying him in any way, or even say something he doesn’t like. They have become victims and black listed. It has no resemblance to democracy, and then he talk about transparency.

I have sympathy for those Senior Instructor/Students who have been victimized, for their growing pains, they lost their dignities, but I got upset when these growing pains are pushed out of their lively hood. He had made these Senior Instructors /Students the only vehicles of life’s wisdom.

When I’m performing, given training to the Master/Instructor/Students, I am me, the Grandmaster, no one can challenge me, how dare being a none technical person, knowing nothing about Taekwondo used the word “Challenge”. I don’t understand why such people are so bent on doing the “Perfect” when they have no knowledge in the field of Taekwondo.
My work is to reach people with ideas, hopes, dreams, encouragement, insight and revelation. That’s what Grandmaster wants to do and his aims & objected, people know me I’m strong, highly qualified and expert. Most people who ask for advice from others have already resolved to act as it pleases them that, what I am.

Surprisingly, he called me a retired TFI official and better enjoy a retired life. What a shameful advised, perhaps that none technical person do not know a Martial Artists, Lawyers, Doctor, Ministers etc. do not have a retire life. What makes him to have premature retired? God know, maybe he is under suspended!!! Since he is already a retired person, what make him to continue and using the Fake Taekwondo Federation of India? Maybe to collect, Moneys from students and Grant-in-Aid, fraudulently from the Department of Sports, Government of India for personally uses. Don’t show off too much, or you’ll stop surprising people.

Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, which bad people will find a way around the laws.
