A listing of sources of podcasts. Since the site is from Canada, it includes a number of Canadian sources.
Chicago Public Library provides downloadable media in a variety of formats, inclusing iPod compatible audiobooks.
Apple's iTunes store, which is accessed via Apple's iTunes program. There are many podcasts available for free; also be sure to check out iTunes U, which provides a variety of educational podcasts. You need a store account to download material, and iTunes. The link will want to open up iTunes to access the store.
Besides the Wayback Machine, the Internet Archive has been adding thousands of moving images, audio recordings and texts.
