Jessica Rudd's List: Design Challenges

NASA provides a number of design challenges, lesson plans and information for primary school students and teachers. At the moment there is a competition available to the students to design a chamber that will allow a plant to grow in outer space.

This webpage is based around the tv show 'Design Squad'.\nThere are a number of activities available for students and teachers aimed at grade 4 and above. There is also an educators guide available that has a number of activities that work well with the curriculum.

This is one of the YouTube clips I used in my unit plan. It offers an alternative to, or supplements having the children grow their own seed which is a common activity in primary school.
