    This is another listening web site. What separates this site from the rest is the content contained in the podcasts. They are all really neat interesting things. Some are about poisonous plants with others are about current events. Most come with a text from of the audio and an exercise, such as fill in the blank.

    Elllo is an online listening lab for English. The lab contains numerous audio samples of English. Each audio clip comes with images and an online quiz. The best part about this lab is that many of the audio samples are discussions of modern events, this makes the content much more interesting.



    ELLLO is a collection of over 800 audio activities that ESL, EFL, and English students and teachers can access freely via the net. Most audio comes with pictures of the speaker, the transcript, and downloadable audio in mp3 format.

    The Guide to Grammar and Writing contains scores of digital handouts on grammar and English usage, over 170 computer-graded quizzes, recommendations on writing -- from basic problems in subject-verb agreement and the use of articles to exercises in parallel structures and help with argumentative essays, and a way to submit questions about grammar and writing.     This site contains 11 units and 52 lessons of free English lessons. This site requires a Shockwave Player and Realmedia Player, which are offered free. The lessons pronounce all English words. The lessons are very clear, straight forward, in design. Sites like this are putting ESL teachers out of the job.
