I believe a digitally literate person is one who possesses the ability to learn and understand new technologies with enthusiasm, demonstrates good ethics and morals in their use of technology, and uses critical thinking in their interpretations and discoveries of modern media.

Digital Security
Being digitally secure means maintaining privacy and protection from potential predators with tools (such as passwords); backing up data, and having anti-virus software and surge protectors in case of unforeseen events. It also means keeping others safe by not compromising the classified or personal information of other individuals.
Critical Thinking
A deeply analytical form of thinking that evaluates and "picks problems apart" to their core in order to solve them. A critical thinker uses clarity, accuracy, evidence, relevance, and fairness from his/her observations, disciplined process of thinking, reasoning and communicating, and he/she rejects poor logic.
Plagiarism
Using another's work without giving due credit or gaining permission (such as using another person's words, ideas, opinions, borrowing facts and graphs, photographs, etc) whether intentional or unintentional. Plagiarism is stealing and a breach of academic honesty.
