AirDroid is an app that allows the user to control several aspects of their Android device from another device, via the browser and a common WiFi connection. Just switch on the app on your phone or tablet, launch web.airdroid.com, and type in the pass code displayed on your Android device or (my personal choice) scan the QR code displayed in the browser.
Now you can uninstall Android apps using an iPhone, an iPad, a Windows Phone phone, a different Android device, a laptop or any other computer. Just open the Google Play site in your favorite browser, click "My Android Apps", select your device and click the trash icon next to the app you want to uninstall.
Google has also added some new app controls to the “My Android Apps” section of the Google Play Store.
Users have been able to remotely install apps from the web version of the Google Play store since the old Android Market days (specifically since early 2011), but now they can also remotely uninstall most of the apps on loaded on their Android devices. I say “most” of them because the page now also displays System apps and carrier loaded apps that can’t be reinstalled without a fight. Appearing right next to the remote uninstall button is an update (when applicable, of course) and pushes the latest version of an app onto the device in question.

“What is rooting? Why should I root my Android device?” These are common questions that I get asked quite often. Today’s lesson is to talk to you about both the advantages and disadvantages of rooting your Android devices. But before we get started, a word of caution: rooting or modifying your phone in any way will void your manufacturer’s warranty and possibly “brick” it. What does “bricking” your device mean you ask? Exactly what you think… It means screwing up your phone software so badly that your phone can no longer function properly and is pretty much as useless as a brick. I do not in any way recommend anyone to root their Android device. This article is simply to introduce you to the subject of rooting and present you with both the pro’s and con’s so that you can make an educated decision on your own.
Rooting your Android phone is a term that you are bound to come across at some point or another while learning how to optimize your Android device. With millions of new Android owners cropping up each month, we decided to give a basic introduction into the world of rooting and to let you decide if it’s something you’d like to do. Towards the end of the article, you will find links to all rooting guides that we have here on Android Authority.
The EasyBib Android app performs the same great functions as the EasyBib iOS app. One of those excellent features is scanning a book's or magazine's ISBN barcode to record the information necessary to create a proper citation. Users can add citations on the app and email those citations to themselves from the app. Just as if you were using the EasyBib website to create properly formatted citations, the app will generate MLA format citations for free. If you want to generate citations in APA or Chicago style you will have to pay for a subscription to the service.
