There exists a grand scheme within Zimbabwe's main opposition party, the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC), to oust party leader Morgan Tsvangirai and replace him with a submissive leader who can negotiate with the ruling party, ZANU-PF. This is confirmed by the MDC's national Chairman, Isaac Matongo, who adds that the MDC's split has nothing to do with the upcoming Senate elections.
